Locates.Com.Au is a GPS coordinates and Map web site. Viewing Maps and getting GPS information On the Map View and GPS Coordinates page at www.locates.com.au/gps.html Enter an address, street, town or suburb or location. You can even enter decimal GPS coordinates. A red marker will pin point the location and display GPS coordinates. Scroll down the page and the GPS information will be displayed in Decimal and also Degree, Minutes and Seconds. Move the red marker around to a new point and click on it. The GPS information will display next to the red marker and also further down the page. You can move the map, switch from Map View to Satellite View, zoom in or out using the controls on the left of the map (note: place names like hotels will not be displayed)
Creating Single or Multiple GPS points Left Click on a position on the map and a blue marker will display, Right Click on the blue marker to remove it. The GPS coordinates will diplay in a window when you click on the blue marker. You can use multiple blue markers and click on each to see the GPS information which will also display in the fields further down the page in decimal and degree, minutes, seconds formats. Show Point For Latitude and Longitude If you have latitue and longitue information in decimal or degree, minutes and sections, this information can be entred in the space provide down the page on the right hand side, and click on "Show Point".
